The inlet is where rainwater enters your tank. It is usually at the top of your tank. Residential Standard residential rain water inlets are a strainer and light guard combination with stainless mesh to keep out debris such as leaves, dirt, mosquitoes, birds, frogs, algae etc. We recommend appropriate screening on all inlets. Stock Stock water or farm inlets are a screw cap manhole (an access manhole) with a fitting on the side wall that is a male/female fitting available in three sizes, inch, inch and a half and two inch. It will also include a female thread on the inside for the installation of a float. You can also opt for no fitting.
OUTLET
The tank's outlet is usually located at the bottom of the tank to gain water. This is where you would connect a tap or direct water to a pump.
OVERFLOW
The tank's overflow is where excessive water will flow out from when the tank is full. It is usually located at the top of the tank.
